Background

Dr. Parbati Dhungana

My work brings together teaching, research, training, and professional learning through sociocultural and participatory approaches. I am particularly interested in teachers' transformative professional learning, curriculum, inclusion and equity, gender, and university-community partnerships. I strive to connect contemporary educational scholarship with local, indigenous, and Eastern wisdom to develop educational practices that are both globally informed and deeply rooted in context.

Beyond teaching and research, I actively collaborate with schools, universities, and communities to design and facilitate transdisciplinary professional development initiatives that bridge research, policy, and practice. Through my publications, training, and community engagement, I seek to empower educators, teacher leaders, and future scholars while advancing lifelong professional learning, inclusion, and equity.

This website is a reflection of my ongoing journey as a learner, educator, trainer, researcher, and collaborator. Here, I share my academic work, professional experiences, and reflections on education, curriculum, teacher training and development, research, and transformative learning. I hope this space encourages dialogue, inspires new perspectives, and contributes to our shared commitment to educational transformation through the meaningful integration of wisdom and knowledge.
